 SPORT COACH OF THE YEAR - This category is for the individual that you see has made an outstanding contribution in coaching over the last year and /or achieved results at the highest possible level within their sport.  Has showed an innovative approach to coaching.  Has contributed as an ambassador to the sport and the region.  Has performed with a sense of Fair play.
 SPORT INDIVIDUAL OF THE YEAR - This category is for the individual who has performed to an exceptional level in the field of sports in the year by an individual.  A person who has represented the region with distinction.  Someone who has performed with a sense of Fair play.  Who has contributed as an ambassador to the sport and the region.
 SPORT TEAM OF THE YEAR - An outstanding performance to an exceptional level in the year.  A sports team who has represented the region with distinction and has performed with a sense of Fair play.  Has contributed as an ambassador to the sport and the region.
 BEST VOLUNTEER GROUP - Recognising the Not for Profit business or Community Group that you feel stands out and provides excellent services to meet the community demands.
 BEST VOLUNTEER INDIVIDUAL - Within community groups, sports groups or operating as an individual, our amazing volunteers are everywhere.  Somebody you feel goes the extra mile and has the interest of our community close to their heart..
 BEST ARTS INDIVIDUAL - Recognising outstanding performance to an exceptional level in the year in the field of performing and visual arts.  Has contributed as an ambassador to arts in our region.
 RETAIL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR - Recognises the successes and achievements of a business selling goods direct to the end user  eg. Fashion, gift, pharmacy, homewares, tools, whitegoods, hardware.​
 HOSPITALITY BUSINESS OF THE YEAR - This category is for businesses in the hospitality industry, specifically restaurants and bars eg. Restaurants, cafes, bakeries, food trucks, caterers, coffee carts, market stalls
 SERVICE BUSINESS OF THE YEAR - Recognises the successes and achievements of a business whose principal activity is the provision of services. eg. Hairdressers, mechanics, banks, travel agents, real estate, builders / trades, preschools, accountants, vets, trainers, equipment hire etc

Business Excellence (Judged)
INNOVATION AWARD - This Award will go to the organisation that best demonstrates the use of innovation to create and develop a product or service that has substantially improved commercial performance and/or operational effectiveness. You can base your application on the development of a specific product or service, and the category is not limited solely to innovations of a technological nature.
ENVIRONMENT AND COMMUNITY AWARD - Specifically focusing on organisational practices or projects that have promoted, strengthened or protected our local community and/or environment. For example, people development, community outreach or environmental and sustainability activities etc. The judges will look for evidence of a well-considered strategy that is an integral part of your organisations’ ethos. 
TOURISM AWARD - This award will recognise an organisation that can demonstrate consistent delivery of an excellent visitor experience. Evidence of an existing strategy, which highlights the unique character, culture and/or heritage of our local area.
