Leander Huiarangi - Rugby
What an amazing year the Katikati College First XV have had, finishing the season as winners of First Division this year.  This is the ultimate achievement for a coeducational college First XV and follows an incredible three year journey under the coaching leadership of Leander Huiarangi.  We cannot help being so proud of our boys, who they are and the futures they have ahead.  This is mostly because of the mahi Leander and his coaching and management teams have put in over the last three years.  The impact this has had on the overall culture of the college cannot be underestimated.  Leander has been a game changer for our boys, both on and off the field.  We believe he deserves Coach of the Year and thank him for all he has done to develop our Rangatahi and rugby at KKC.
